Nearly a week after American news presenter Savannah Guthrie’s mother Nancy Guthrie went missing, police are investigating new messages sent to a local news station. This comes after the first deadline for ransom claims was delivered on Thursday evening.
Guthrie’s family continues to plead for evidence that their mother, who was allegedly kidnapped from her home in Tucson, Arizona, is still alive.
The BBC’s Regan Morris is in Tucson to detail the status of the investigation and remaining questions.
