President Donald Trump appointed Todd Blanche as acting U.S. Attorney General after firing Attorney General Pam Bondi.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised Bondi and said she would “transition” to a role in the private sector.
Blanche was Trump’s personal lawyer before becoming the second-in-command at the Justice Department, and represented Trump in a variety of cases after his first term, including a federal indictment on charges of withholding classified documents.
