Who won the Masters? Who has had the most success at Augusta National? Let’s take a look at the winners of the opening majors of all time.
The Masters is one of the largest golf tournaments in the history of the sport, with the world’s best players traveling to Georgia every April for the first of the four major championships.
Jack Nicklaus holds the record for most wins at Augusta National and remains the oldest winner in history, winning for the sixth time in 1986 at the age of 46, with Tiger Woods one spot behind after his 2019 success.
Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson and Seve Ballesteros have all been honored by the tournament since its inception in 1934, while Britain’s Sir Nick Faldo is a three-time Masters winner.
Rory McIlroy completed a career Grand Slam with a playoff win over Justin Rose in the 2025 event, ending an 11-year wait for his fifth major title.
