FIFA is under investigation over ticket prices ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
The attorneys general of New York and New Jersey are investigating the association for allegedly “artificially inflating prices” and “misleading fans” on ticket sales. Fans were reportedly “misled” about seating locations, including the creation of more expensive “front” category tickets released after initial sales, according to the report.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino said in early May that the prices reflected the public’s “absolutely crazy” appetite, but FIFA declined to comment on recent events.
