Windstar plans to resume sailings from Alaska and Japan in 2026 aboard its new ship, the Star Seeker, scheduled for delivery in December 2025.
After last sailing from Alaska and Japan in 2023, the cruise line redeployed Star Breeze to cruise Tahiti year-round.
Star Seeker will offer 7-, 10-, and 11-day cruises in Alaska between Juneau or Seward and Vancouver from May through August. The line also offers land tours of Denali before and after the cruise.
Alaska cruises, as in 2023, will include an expedition leader. Guests can book active excursions such as small group hiking, kayaking and skiff expeditions and hear presentations about the state's history, culture, flora and fauna from expedition leaders.
The Star Seeker is scheduled to depart Alaska at the end of August for Japan on a 10-day voyage between Tokyo and Osaka until November.
Travel itineraries are available for confirmation and booking in early August 2024.
Star Seeker is one of 224 guest ships that Windstar is adding to its fleet. The second ship, Star Explorer, is scheduled to be delivered a year later, in December 2026.
