Walking a dog (or any kind of walk for that matter!) in the winter isn’t the most fun. It can be really hard to leave your cold, windy, warm home and venture outside into the frost.

I have a collection of coats in my cupboard that I hang up and promise to keep me warm when I leave, but sometimes when it gets really cold that’s not enough.

As with my always cold bones (where I come from, people who are always cold are called ‘neshes’!), I also suffer from back pain that gets worse when it’s cold. But apart from spending a bit of money tying a hot water bottle to your waist or using a disposable heating pad (and inflating/stretching my favorite jumper) – what else can a woman do?! While searching, I came across a women’s heated coat…

Introducing the Flexwarm8 heated jacket. Not only does this bad boy protect you from the cold winter winds, but it also heats itself with a small battery pack in its pocket!

This incredibly lightweight jacket has built-in thermal pads on the front and back, so you can plug in a built-in rechargeable battery pack (it’s no bigger than a phone charger and can even charge your phone at the same time!) in one of the built-in pockets and it’ll keep you warm for hours.

You can control the temperature of the jacket via an app on your phone and turn it up or down depending on how cold you are. It goes up to 50oC in 320 seconds, making it super crispy, and has a built-in sensor that regulates the temperature of the jacket to maintain the optimal temperature!

I absolutely love it and being able to go for walks with Toby as the weather gets colder has been a godsend. It’s one of the nicest heated coats for women I’ve found and it fits really well (I wear large clothes). The black color is quite stylish, and I like the fact that it folds up small so you can easily put it in the car or a large handbag when going out.

It’s not the cheapest jacket you can buy. With a sale price of £160, it’s more of an investment than a quick purchase from retail. But looking at the technology inside and how it works, I think the price tag is justified. We also produce vests and hoodies with Flexwarm technology, as well as jackets in a variety of colors. I am sold.

You can find heated coats for women, men and children here on our website. See here to stay warm, especially when it snows!

*Flexwarm8 gifted me two jackets so I could go dog walking with Toby. I am under no obligation to post about the products and Flexwarm8 has no creative control over any content I decide to produce. It’s expensive, but it’s a cool little product and I think it’s worth mentioning. I really like it!
