“I just do my best every game. I just do my job, not seek attention!”
De Decker immediately surprised Anderson by whitewashing him in the first set before the second set, with the Belgian scoring a stunning 120 checkout in the deciding leg to win the set.
Anderson was soon eliminated from the tournament after failing to beat De Decker in the third.
“We said De Decker had a chance to do something. It’s not often you see Anderson so overwhelmed.” ‘Sky Sports Darts’ Wayne horses.
“Finishing, finishing with 160 and 74. He exudes composure under pressure and you can’t buy that. I had zero!
“Some people either get it or don’t get it. He got it. He just took the time. His abilities increased little by little…
“He lost his tour card a few years ago and didn’t get it back straight away, but now he’s showing what he can do.

Ruthless Wade beats Price 3-0 to reach 4th place
Elsewhere on Thursday evening, Wade advanced to the quarterfinals with a 3-0 win over Price.
A tight first set saw Wade miss the bullseye as he attempted to check out 170 to take a 3-2 lead, but finished the leg with a single dart at double 10.
Wade yelled at Price after the opening set. This was a reaction to Price’s earlier celebration after the Welshman hit 180. And Price missed three darts from the top to take the opening leg of the second set, handing the chance to Wade. Take it easy: One dart atop all Wade needs.
Wade grabbed a draw to take a 2-0 lead in the set, and despite Price pulling his leg back, Wade hit 180 and finished the leg at double 12 to win the set 3-1 and move one set up in the quarter. Yes.
The Briton claimed the opening leg of the third set, and despite missing nine darts at double at the start of the second leg, Wade took ruthless advantage of Price’s inability to close the leg, landing double 10 again to make it 2. It went up to -0. And the bridge of victory.
Price pulled out 130 to get back into the set, but Wade wasn’t denied.
There are no more seeds left in the bottom half.
After Price’s loss, Chisnall was the remaining seed in the latter stages but lost 3-1 to Dimitri Van den Bergh.
Chisnall won the first set before Van den Bergh leveled the match and won the third decider after eight perfect darts, hitting consecutive maximums and recording a checkout of 74.
Van den Bergh held his nerve and will face Joe Cullen again after the Briton came from 2-1 down to beat Daryl Gurney 3-2 in a nerve-wracking battle.
“I felt comfortable the whole match. I thought I had the first set down, then I thought I pinched the second set,” Cullen said.
“I think Daryl has a hard time getting off (with a double start) and killing you in this format, so I’m happy to get the win.
“I never doubted myself the whole time. I had my struggles this year but I have been working to put it right.
“I have shown great resilience and a good fight, come to the hospital room!”
