Why is Match Play so special?
Match play is very special. Trying to be qualified for an event is tremendously difficult, so it is rewarding when you arrive there. It must be consistent for 12 months.
When I met, I was qualified in the world and clearly you wanted to create a world, but I really wanted to make a match.
This is a brilliant tournament of the year. The place is fantastic and decent format.

All the players arriving there have found some forms and some consistency. Yes. There will be some uneven players. But for those 12 months you are eligible to take your place.

Luke Humphries celebrates last year’s victory
I like the draw of Luke Humphries. Obviously, the first round, the first round is quite long, and it has a difficult opening round, but has gained know -how.

Of course you have history -Phil Taylor made it into his house. We have a memorable moment, whether it’s 9D or Crazy Comeback, so I hope there will be more places from this year.

For me, MatchPlay has caused many memories that go back to 2003. It was the first tournament of SKY SPORTS.
I had to shadow SID Waddell, Dave Lanning, and John Gwynne, but when we arrived at BlackPool’s Imperial Hotel, we said we will play the first game with John Lowe with Keith Deller!
Sadly in 2012, he was a star, a great friend and guidance lighting until he lost him.

It’s hard not to see two Luke choosing all titles, but the recent results are not invincible and the field is too strong. People who like Dobey, Price, Anderson, etc. can still cause considerable splendor.

As this field becomes stronger, I don’t think any running is completely amazing. Anderson and Price found a good form late, but I think the winners of Josh Rock and Ross Smith can run deep.

Watch out for Damon Heta. Australia ranked second in the Player Championship 20 last week. He is a good form.
