“This strike is aimed at the specific, strategic goals of dismantling missile capabilities that threaten our allies, degrading naval assets used to destabilize the high seas, disrupting the institutions that arm proxy militias, and ensuring that the Iranian regime can never threaten the world with nuclear weapons,” U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz said at an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council in New York on Saturday afternoon.
