
Michael Van Gerwen started the second round match with Rob Cross in the DARTS FINALS of the World Series after tailing Wessel Nijman with a thrilling first round of Amsterdam.
Van Gerwen chased the sixth title and overcame the enthusiastic Nijman in the last leg crystal.
NIJMAN led 2-0, 3-1 and 5-4, but Van Gerwen recorded an amazing 132 finish in the bull, with an average of 104.75, and survived in the game dart before winning 174 setups and double 18.
Van Gerwen said, “Wessel is a great player and his cover shooting is amazing.” I felt good for the whole game. This was one of my best performances in the Netherlands for a long time. “
Luke Humphries also survived two darts to defeat the 2018 champion James Wade.
The World NO 1 HUMPHRIES recorded an average of 99 and was fired on the bridges of 14 and 13 darts to overturn the 5-4 deficit.
“This was a strange performance,” Humphries admitted. “One minute was good, the next poor. I’m going back to the form and I’m happy to win.”
Stephen Bunting is now packed by Dutch No 2 Danny Noppert for the World Cup champion Josh Rock.
Noppert won 6-4 and Rock won 6-3 with Krzysztof Ratajski with a 121 bullseye checkout.
Cross returned to the Netherlands and defeated New Zealand’s Haupai Puha 6-3 with a 60 % double success rate.
The Cross lifted the Dutch Dart Masters title earlier this year in Den Bosch.
Australia’s NO 1 Damon Heta and World Grand Prix Champions Mike de De Decker will be beaten in the second round after defeating Joe Cullen and Gabriel Clemens, respectively.
Heta won 6-1, and De Decker overcame Clemens 6-3 despite the loss of Clemens 6-3, but Germany lost 9 Double 12.
Kevin DOETS held a dinner with a narrow victory with Jermaine Wattimena, and survived in four darts to create a conflict with Humphries on Saturday night.

Former winners Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton meet American duo danny Lauby and Jason Brandon, while Raymond Van Barnowles captures COR Dekker in Norway.
Nathan Aspinall, Chris Dobey, Ross Smith, Peter Wright and Cameron Menzies went to fight before the second round on Saturday evening, and entered the quasi -finals, semi -finals and finals on Sunday.
