xAI is testing a standalone iOS app for its Grok chatbot.

Elon Musk’s AI company xAI is testing a standalone iOS app for its chatbot Grok, which until now has only been available to X users.

The app, currently in beta in Australia and select countries, gives you access to real-time data from the web and You can do it. A text message is also displayed.

“Grok is an AI-powered assistant designed to be as truthful, useful and curious as possible. Get answers to all your questions, create striking images, and upload photos to gain a deeper understanding of the world,” the listing reads.

xAI is also preparing a dedicated site, Grok.com, to make the chatbot accessible on the web. When you log in with your current xAI account, the site will display a message saying “Coming soon.”

Grok was only available to paying subscribers of X until recently. Last November, the company began testing a free version of the chatbot and rolled it out to all users earlier this month.

The company says its chatbot’s image creation model excels at “photorealistic rendering” and does not impose significant restrictions on its image creation capabilities, allowing users to create images using certified photos and copyrighted materials.
