Zelensky calls for increased invasion of Ukraine

His latest statement comes after Ukraine destroyed a strategically important bridge on the Seymour River this week.

This bridge was used by the Kremlin to supply supplies to the army, and its destruction could have hampered the army's supply efforts.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said the bridge was “completely destroyed” and that volunteers helping evacuated civilians were killed.

But as Ukraine advances further into western Russian territory, Russian forces have also expanded their presence in eastern Ukraine, capturing several towns in recent weeks.

According to Ukrainian officials, Russia attacked at least four Ukrainian regions on Saturday, including one northeast of Kharkiv.

President Zelensky said there had been “dozens of Russian attacks” on Ukrainian positions near Toretsk and Pokrovsk on Saturday.

Pokrovsk is an important logistics hub located on the main route supplying Ukrainian troops on the Eastern Front.

“Our soldiers and troops are doing everything to destroy the occupiers and repel the attack,” the Ukrainian president said, stressing that the situation was “under control.”
