Ukraine’s VolodyMyr Zelensky has canceled some of his first visit to South Africa with a Russian missile and drone attack over the capital of Ukraine.
Regional officials said that at least nine people, including children, were killed and more than 80 injured, local officials said.
Zelensky said in X’s post that he would return to Ukraine “immediately” as part of his trip to meet his South African opponent’s Cyril Ramaphosa and strengthen his diplomatic efforts.
He added that rescue operations are underway due to overnight attacks and “serious destruction.”
“44 days have passed since Ukraine agreed to complete truce and strike,” he mentioned in March. “The strike must stop immediately and unconditionally.”
Zelen Ski’s visit to South Africa has recorded diplomatic innovation to Ukrainian leaders in his efforts to cope with Russia’s increase in Africa.
When President Ramaboa led the African leader delegation to Civi with his own style of peace, he would not have imagined visiting the week two years ago.
