A video showing the moment Olympic kitesurfer Bruno Lobo rescues a woman who fell into the sea.
The athlete was kitesurfing off the coast of São Luis, Brazil, practicing with his new camera when he heard someone screaming.
Lobo, who is also an orthopedic surgeon, put the woman on his back and used a kite to take her to shore.
The woman was seen walking along the beach after meeting friends at the beach. “I just did my duty,” Lobo said in a video he filmed on Instagram. “I was in the right place at the right time.”
The athlete said he wanted to use the opportunity to warn people on social media that “the sea is really very dangerous” and “the current can pull you out to sea.”
