These Honey Garlic Teriyaki Chicken Bowls are a weeknight favorite! It’s ready in about 30 minutes, and you have a delicious, family-friendly meal.
Serving Size: 4
- 1 1/2 pound Boneless chicken breast or thighs Cut into bite size pieces
- 2 cup broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 3 cup rice white, brown or jasmine
- 1 tablespoon sesame
- 2 green onion sliced
- 1 fresh chili Thinly sliced (optional)
Honey Garlic Teriyaki Sauce
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and boil. 5-7 minutesuntil brown and cooked. Remove and set aside.
Add broccoli to the same pan and stir-fry. 3-4 minutes Until soft and crispy. Cover briefly, adding a little water if necessary, until smooth.
Mix soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a bowl. Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a boil.
Add cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring. 1-2 minutes Until the sauce thickens.
Return chicken to skillet and add sauce and broccoli until evenly coated and heated.
Place rice in a bowl and top with chicken and broccoli. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, green onions and sliced red pepper. Serve warm.
