Tourists and locals gathered on Reunion Island to watch lava flowing from a volcano that has been erupting for more than a month.
Last Sunday, lava from the Piton de la Fournaise volcano reached the Indian Ocean for the first time in 19 years.
The volcano began erupting for the second time this year on February 13. Two lava flows from the volcano then caused chaos after cutting a national highway connecting the south and east sides of the island.
