What is apple butter?
Applebutter is similar to applesauce, but they are different. Applebutter is more concentrated and thicker than applesauce. It has more sugar and the apples are cooked for a long time until they caramelize and turn a deep brown color.
How healthy is apple butter?
Apple butter is made from whole apples, so it has some of the fiber and nutrients from the fruit. It does have quite a bit of sugar, but it’s concentrated, so you only need a little at a time.
