Luxury safari operator Asilia Africa plans to expand into Uganda with a new lodge in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The company also plans to launch destination management services in Uganda and Rwanda.
The new lodge, named Erevero Hills (meaning ‘place to see far’), is scheduled to open in early 2026 on the northern edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. . Open year-round, the lodge features eight forest view suites, each with its own observatory and 180-degree views of the forest.
As part of this initiative, Asilia Africa is working with indigenous Batwa and Bakiga communities in collaboration with local organization Change a Life Bwindi. The company has committed to planting 25,000 native trees to create a reforested buffer zone around existing national parks.
