BBC visits Doha market, which is starting to fill up again after two weeks of war with Iran

Doha’s Souq Waqif market was nearly empty at the start of the conflict between Israel, the United States and Iran on February 28, and people in the usually safe and stable capital were shocked by attacks in the area.

Qatar’s neighbors have been hit by retaliatory attacks by Tehran, with at least 18 people killed across the Gulf region so far.

Meanwhile, most attacks targeting Qatar – some targeting US military bases – were intercepted by air defenses, causing little ground damage and no deaths reported in Qatar.

As the Middle East conflict enters its third week, Doha’s best-known market is starting to get busy again. The BBC’s Barbara Plett Usher visited to ask locals how they were feeling.
