The second stop of the Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour: Hyderabad. At the Taj Falaknuma Palace, with beautiful cloudy skies after heavy rain and as pleasant a breeze as anyone could have hoped for, Gaurav Gupta showcased his work to some of India’s best male and female models. Kangana Ranaut, Aditi Rao Hydari and The Crow Experience were all sparkling on top of an already extravagant cake.
Designer Gaurav Gupta’s interpretation of “My Style, My Pride” was “My Expression, My Pride.” Find out more about the first leg of the fashion tour with Tarun Tahiliani and his show stoppers. Gaurav’s interpretation was showcased through his costumes and an immersive experience created by Crow. How we express ourselves and cope with dark emotions, hysteria, turmoil, depression, requiem, etc.
The garments were structured, embellished, and felt sculpted to fit each wearer’s body. Kangana Ranaut’s red flared dress gave her a very unique “princess” vibe as she posed for the cameras and walked the runway. Aditi Rao Hydari wore an elegant and shimmering ivory saree dress. It was nice to see the focus on the outfit with almost no accessories or jewelry visible.
A fun evening, great weather, and a packed audience. The runway lighting was also great (made by Preferred Professionals after all!). The Hyderabad crowd was patient, colorful and gave it their all.
I did quite a bit of running around Falaknuma Palace and its extensive grounds. It’s a pretty grand location. I am fascinated by everything, including vintage tile floors. In terms of documenting this evening as a photographer, there was so much happening in so many places at the same time, but I hope the following images will nonetheless provide you with an immersive experience. take pleasure in!
