After the training accident in southern France, the four -British Tour de France championship bike ride a bicycle riding bike is waiting for surgery.
Froome was being trained when an accident occurred on Wednesday, and the helicopter was taken to the Toulon Hospital in Libiera, France.
A 40 -year -old boy will be operated on Thursday due to injuries.
The statement on Froome’s official X profile has been read as follows: “Chris was aired as a hospital in Toulon in a serious training accident yesterday (no other bicycle or vehicle was involved).
“Fortunately, Chris is stable and has not been injured, but the scan is confirmed with pneumothorax, five broken ribs and lumbar fractures, so you can have surgery this afternoon.
“We will update Chris’s status after surgery.”
Froome ruled Tour de France with Team Sky in 2019.
Froome won the Tour de France with Team SKY in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017, and insisted on the Grand Tour title in Giro D ‘Italia and Vuelta A Espana. He has been racing with Israeli Premier Tech since 2021.
He broke the collarbone on the February UAE tour and suggested that 2025 could be the last year of competition.
In 2019, FROOME hit the wall at 35 MPH during the practice before the stage of Criterium Du DauPine.
He recovered after surgery, but since then he has not been able to win the seven Grand Tours.
