How to Make Cilantro Lime Rice

  1. rinse rice: Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch for a smoother end result.
  2. add liquid: Pour in the chicken broth. Add salt, butter and minced garlic and mix.
  3. cook rice: You can cook this rice in a medium pot or using a rice cooker. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 18 to 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
  4. fluff and serve: When the rice is cooked, carefully open the lid and stir the rice. Add lime zest, juice, and chopped cilantro. Stir to combine. Serve warm and enjoy!
