Contiki, a travel company specialising in tours aimed at young people, is expanding its portfolio in Southeast Asia with the addition of the Philippines, with its first trips set to launch later this year.
Contiki will explore the country on two island hopping itineraries, a nine-day trip and a 13-day trip. Both itineraries include all flights, boat transfers and all other transportation in the Philippines, as well as all accommodation and meals.
Both itineraries visit Palawan Island, stopping in Puerto Princesa, Port Barton, and El Nido.
The nine-day itinerary will see visitors explore the Subterranean River National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, by boat, take a day trip to explore the islands in Port Barton, take a jeepney ride to Nacpan Beach, and experience the unique Stay and Make Travel Matter Experience at Isla Experience on Daracoton Island. Guests on this tour will also ride a classic Filipino motorcycle to Las Cabanas for a beach sunset and traditional boodle fight (hand-meal).
The 13-day journey includes numerous stops, plus a four-day boat trip to the Calamian Islands.

The new tour in the Philippines continues Contiki’s expansion into Southeast Asia. Last year, the company announced it would launch its first tour in South Korea in 2024. The company said it has seen increased demand for the Philippines, particularly among Gen Z travelers, who Contiki CEO Adam Armstrong said were often difficult destinations for young solo travelers to navigate.
“I know the Philippines can be a difficult place to explore for a solo traveler, so I wanted to create an itinerary that included domestic flights, boat transfers, all other transportation, all accommodations, and even delicious Filipino food,” Armstrong said.
The Philippine Island Hopping itinerary starts on November 9, with prices starting at $1,515 per person for a 9-day tour and $2,445 per person for a longer tour.
