DILLIAN WHYTE had to withdraw from a heavyweight conflict with Joe Joyce.
Whyte vs Joyce was due to a show headline held in Manchester on April 5, but Whyte was seriously injured in his fingers and could not be boxed on the date.
Joyce’s alternative partner is now looking for that competition.
WHYTE fought in December when he overcame Ebenezer Tetteh in Gibraltar. This match with Joyce would have been his first when he made his first time in England with a number of decisions since 2022.
Whyte was scheduled to re -confront Anthony Joshua in 2023 and returned disadvantages in the drug test that canceled the fight.
Nowte is now cleaned in the box, but the frustration of this injury will delay his return.
Joyce was intended to have a tuning match, but there was no box as originally proposed on the last weekend. He will still be able to fight on April 5, as the Olympic silver medalist is expected to return from the defeat of Derek Chisora in the decision defeat in July.
The Queens Berry Promotion, which held the event on April 5, said in a statement.
“The alternative partner is now finished with ‘juggernaut’ and the presentation will soon be made.”
