
Israel said it struck targets in Lebanon on Monday evening after vowing revenge for Hezbollah’s attack on a military base. Both sides accused each other of violating last week’s ceasefire.
In a post on X, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said further details about the attack would be released later.
Iran-backed Hezbollah said it had fired mortars at Israeli military positions in Israeli-held areas in response to previous ceasefire violations.
Israel said there were no injuries in Hezbollah’s airstrikes on the Mt Dov area, a disputed area on the Israel-Lebanon border known internationally as Shebaa Farms.
