“During a war, more than ever, full trust is needed between the prime minister and the minister of defense,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
“Unfortunately, while there was that trust in the first months of the campaign and there was very fruitful work, over the last few months that trust has been broken between me and the Secretary of Defense.”
“I found significant differences between me and Gallant in the management of the campaign,” Netanyahu said.
He added, “This gap has been accompanied by comments and actions that run counter to government and cabinet decisions.”
“Many attempts have been made to bridge this gap, but the gap has only grown wider,” Netanyahu said.
