Not the traditional precious stones you would expect, but semi precious stones that have real character and meaning. The Green Onyx from the Ms. Lola Collection is the hero piece of the collection and the moment I took it out of the box I completely understood why. I wasn’t sure if I’d love the olive green color but it’s way prettier in person. The dial is a deep, rich green onyx. Natural green onyx, which is trending right now. And in the brand’s world green onyx carries this beautiful meaning around vitality and courage, which I love, because I always think what you wear should mean something to you. Fashion is a way of expressing yourself.
The face is a beautiful octagonal shape which sits so elegantly on the wrist, with a three dimensional faceted case that catches the light beautifully. The watch runs on Japanese quartz movement, with a 316L stainless steel case in gold, a mineral crystal mirror, and a compact case size of 25.4mm by 18.8mm, which is exactly the dainty proportion I look for.
This is a watch that looks like it belongs in a fine jewellery store for several times the price. One of the things that made me want a Lola Rose watch is the smaller watch face size. Watches seem to be getting bigger and bigger and they just don’t suit my frame or my aesthetic. I much prefer dainty watches like these. I think they look so much more elegant than chunky styles and don’t look like you are trying too hard.

The way it catches light and every single dial has a slightly different natural pattern so yours is genuinely one of a kind. Paired with a classic warm brown leather strap with a lovely subtle vintage finish, it feels classic and timeless in the best possible way.
This is going to be my go to on days when I want to feel polished without trying too hard. I don’t have a brown leather watch and this is the perfect neutral. It works with everything. Jeans and a white shirt, a camel coat, a sundress, an evening look. You know those pieces in your wardrobe that just work with literally everything? This is that, but on your wrist.
The crown has a black onyx detail, which sounds like a small thing, but it adds a little touch of sophistication that you notice when you look closely. Everything about this watch is considered.
