Police: “Are you hurt?” Vickrum Digwa: “Yes, yes, my eye is swollen and a little bruised.” Police Officer: “Okay. Please step back a little.” Henry Nowak: “I was stabbed.” Police Officer: “Have you been stabbed? Where is it? I don’t think I’ve ever been stabbed.” Henry Nowak: “I can’t breathe.” “Henry’s father said: ‘We don’t want his death to be used to create further division, hatred and tension.’ I think those words resonated with people across the country. “We must not allow this tragedy to be used by anyone to divide us.”
