Russian President Vladimir Putin is showing no signs of compromise, said Steve Rosenberg, the BBC’s Russia editor.
This comes after Russian officials said there was “no compromise” during five hours of talks between Putin and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff on Tuesday.
Putin believes Russia has the lead on the Ukrainian battlefield and therefore he can dictate the terms of the peace deal, Rosenberg said.
