Sky has announced a new partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB, strengthening its commitment to British sport and bringing the country together through key cultural moments and, most importantly, inspiring stories and achievements.

The partnership will run from the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and will support athletes throughout the entire Olympic and Paralympic cycle.

Sky will play a central role in connecting athletes with audiences across the UK, celebrating their achievements, challenges and breakthroughs as they progress to the world’s biggest sporting stage.

Team GB has set its sights on a medal at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, with Chef d’Mission Eve Muirhead confident of breaking the record.

Jenny Seymour, Paralympic GB commercial director, added: “We look forward to the launch of our partnership and working with Sky to champion inclusivity, challenge perceptions of disability and inspire the next generation of fans and athletes.”

This partnership is part of Sky’s long-term commitment to supporting the growth of sport in the UK, including its position as the largest investor in women’s sport in the UK.

The 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics will be held from February 6 to 22, and the Paralympic Winter Games will be held from March 6 to 15.

The next Summer Olympics will be held on the West Coast of the United States from July 14 to 30, and the Paralympic Games will be held from August 15 to 27.

The Olympic flame arrives in Rome ahead of a 63-day, 12,000km relay that will tour all 110 Italian regions before arriving at the San Siro Stadium for the opening ceremony on February 6.

Team GB Olympic diving medalist Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix said: “There’s never a feeling like knowing the whole country is behind you, so it’s amazing that Sky has been able to further strengthen this support by supporting Team GB.

“The athletes have put in years of hard work behind the scenes, and it’s really special to have fans come watch the games with them. The road to LA28 has always been a big one for me, but I can’t wait to see how this partnership takes that excitement to the next level.”

Tokyo Paralympic gold medalist Lauren Steadman said: “We’re really excited about the partnership between Paralympic GB and Sky as we look ahead to LA 2028.

“What we do together is more than just medals. It’s about changing perceptions, championing inclusion and showing what can be achieved when opportunity and ambition come together.”

Sky has a long track record of investing in UK sport, with Sky Sports contributing around £18 billion to the sector over the past decade.

In 2024 alone, this investment has helped support over £10 million of economic activity every day, with hundreds of millions of pounds supporting the long-term development of grassroots sport across the UK and Ireland.
