How to Make Slow Cooker Bourbon Meatballs

  1. Add meatballs: Spray the inner bowl of the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place frozen meatballs in bottom of slow cooker.
  2. sauce: In a medium bowl, combine bourbon, brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic. Whisk until combined and dissolve the sugar.
  3. Add sauce and cook. Pour bourbon sauce over meatballs. Stir to make sure all meatballs are coated. Cook on LOW for 3 hours or on HIGH for 2 hours, stirring occasionally to coat meatballs in sauce.
  4. Thick sauce: During the last hour of cooking, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Pour the cornstarch slurry into the crock pot and stir to combine. Cover and cook the remaining time until the sauce thickens. Adjust the slow cooker setting to the warm setting until ready to serve. If you like, you can serve it with a toothpick as an appetizer, or eat it with rice as a meal.
