Israeli demolition teams have begun demolishing the headquarters of the United Nations Palestine Refugee Agency, known as Unrwa, in occupied East Jerusalem.
Israel says it owns the land on which the complex is built and has accused Unrwa of being invaded by Hamas.
Unrwa said his facilities are protected under international agreements and acknowledged that nine Unrwa employees may have been involved in the Oct. 7 Hamas-led attack, but said Israel had not proven anything more extensive than that.
The BBC’s John Sudworth reports from the site.
