Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a 29 -year -old El Salvador, deported from the United States, sparked legal confrontation against the administration’s immigration policy.

In the US Supreme Court, the judge ruled that Prime Minister Abro Garcia was expelled as an error and that the US government should help to “promote” his return to his home in Maryland.

But the White House said, “I will never live in the United States,” as a member of Transnational Salvadorian Gang MS-13, a foreign terrorist group designated by ABREGO GARCIA.

ABREGO GARCIA denied that he was a member of the gang and was not convicted of crime.

The BBC Verify has investigated the court document and public records and decided that it was not known about the ties between ABREGO GARCIA and MS-13.

What do you know about the claimed MS-13 link?

According to the court document, Abrego Garcia admitted that he had illegally entered the United States in 2012.

In March 2019, he was detained in the parking lot of home depot with the other three in Hi -Tiles, Maryland.

Police officers of the Prince George County Police Bureau have been “roaming” the men, and then identified Abro Gogarcia and the other as members of the MS-13.

In a document entitled “Gangfield Interview Sheet,” local police explained their observation in detail.

They said that ABREGO GARCIA said, “I wear a crow with the money covering the president’s eyes, ears and mouths on the Chicago Bull Hat and individual denomination.

Police officers insisted that the clothes were “Hispanic gang culture” and claimed that the use of the Chicago bull hat is a good member of the MS-13.

Steven Dudley, a reporter and author, who spent several years studying the MS-13 gang, said, “At some point, the horny Chicago Bulls logo has become a stand-in MS-13’s demon horn symbol.”

However, he added that wearing the logo of the popular basketball team is not limited to gangs.

Dudley said, “All arguments for the gang must be confirmed with testimony, crime history and other confirmed evidence.”

According to on-site interview sheets and other court documents, executives also said that ABREGO GARCIA was also an active member of MS-13’s “Western Clique” by “proven reliable source” and has a ranking of “Chequeo”.

But Dudley says “Chequeo” is not used to refer to a recruit that has not yet begun.

Abrrego Garcia’s wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, denied that he was a MS-13 gang member.

Abrrego Garcia’s lawyers say “Western Clique” is based in New York in the court submission, where the customer never lived. And according to the government document, he dismissed the information given to him as “audience.”

According to his lawyer, ABREGO GARCIA has never been convicted for crimes, including gang membership, the United States or El Salvador. According to the court record, he lived in the United States for 14 years, had three children and worked in construction.

However, the judge, who presided over the case in 2019, said that there is enough evidence to support ABREGO GARCIA’s gang member qualifications based on confidential information. The discovery was later supported by another judge.

As a result, ABREGO GARCIA rejected jewelry and maintained detention. During this period, he applied for asylum to prevent the deportation to El Salvador.

In October 2019, he was ordered to “collection of removal,” and the court document was different from asylum, but the US government could be damaged, so he could not send it back to El Salvador.

Abrrego Garcia’s lawyers say they have been given status based on the fear of “well-known” persecution of Barrio-18, the main rival gang of MS-13.

He said his family and business were threatened and robbed by Barrio-18 before entering the United States.

Abrrego Garcia’s lawyers, who have been released as a protection order since 2019, have found that they have checked in every year with immigration officials.

What is the separate claim for that?

Mr. Garcia faced at least two other criminal offenses, and none of them were convicted.

In 2021, his wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, shared a document shared by the US Department of Homeland Security, and submitted a protective order petition, claiming that he had physically attacked her several times.

Vasquez Sura decided not to follow the court procedure at the time in a statement on April 16, and her and her husband said, “I was able to work through this situation as a family, including counseling.”

She described her husband as “partner and father of love,” repeatedly denied that he was a MS-13 gang.

On April 15, White House reporter Karoline Leavitt also accused Abro Garcia that Abrego Garcia was involved in trafficking.

She seems to have referred to the report at Tennessee Star, a conservative news website, and ABREGO GARCIA insisted that in December 2022, it was detained by the Tennessee Expressway patrol officer on charges of trafficking.

According to a report from the DEPARTMENT of Homeland Security, he said he stopped speeding and was not in the lane.

The report suspected that there were eight other people in a car without a baggage, and the police officer could be the case of trafficking.

But there was no criminal case for Mr. Garcia.

“Kilmar worked in construction and sometimes transported a group of workers between the workshops,” said Abrego Garcia’s wife Jennifer Vasquez Sura.
