The Web3 Foundation has announced a Decentralized Futures Grant on its official X handle. According to the announcement, Dot Play will allow developers to leverage cutting-edge technologies on the Polkadot platform.

Dot Play is building a core gaming hub on Polkadot by focusing on the highest growth genres in gaming, building essential integration tools, and providing sustainable business development support. The project consists of several key initiatives, including the DotPlay Gaming Portal, Ecosystem Support, and Technical Integration.

DotPlay Games Portal – The Dot Play Games Portal serves as a hub for game developer onboarding, providing comprehensive resources and a direct channel to connect with the Dot Play team.

Ecosystem Support – Collaborate with the Polkadot team and agents to foster closer collaboration and help foster a diverse ecosystem for Polkadot-based games.

Technology Integration – Dot Play will evaluate the Game Design Document (GDD) and develop a blockchain solution architecture to help projects easily enter the Polkadot ecosystem. This will ensure seamless integration with the Polkadot technology stack.
The Dot Play team consists of Angela Dalton, Nick Douzinas, Keshav Holani, and Eliza Jappinen, all of whom have extensive experience in gaming and blockchain technology.
