Footage shows parts of the United States covered in snow as intense winter storms hit several US states, including Connecticut and New Jersey.
A total travel ban has been implemented in New York City from 21:00 local time (02:00 GMT) on Sunday until 12:00 local time (17:00 GMT) on Monday.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani said schools would be closed except for emergencies and traffic on all streets, highways and bridges would be blocked.
It is expected to be the strongest northeasterly storm in nearly a decade for most of the region, bringing snow, fierce winds and coastal flooding.
